Revelation of John 2

1To the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands; 2I know your works, and your labour, and your patience, and how you cannot bear those who are evil, and how you have tested those who say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them to be liars; 3And how you have persevered, and have endured for my name's sake, and have not grown weary. 4Yet I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5Remember the height from which you have fallen, and repent, and do the works you did at first; or else I will come to you, and will remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. 6But this you have in your favour, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes I will give the right to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. 8And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These are the words of him who is the first and the last, who was dead, and came to life; 9I know your tribulation and your poverty, (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10Do not fear any of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tested; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death. 12And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write; These are the words of him who has the sharp sword with two edges; 13I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is: and that you hold fast to my name, and have not denied my faith, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells. 14But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, that they might eat things sacrificed to idols, and commit sexual immorality. 15In the same way you also have those who hold to the teachings of the Nicolaitans. 16Therefore repent; or else I will come to you quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 17He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knows except him who receives it. 18And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These are the words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bonze; 19I know your works, and your love, and faith, and service, and perseverance, and that your recent works are greater than those you did at first. 20Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and teaches and beguiles my servants to commit sexual immorality, and to eat things sacrificed to idols. 21And I gave her time to repent; but she refuses to repent of her immorality. 22Behold, I will cast her upon a bed of anguish, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23And I will strike her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searches minds and hearts: and I will give to every one of you as your deeds deserve. 24But I say to you, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not hold to this teaching, and who have not known the depths of Satan, as they call them; I will put upon you no other burden; 25Only that you hold fast to what you have, until I come. 26And he who overcomes, and does my will to the end, to him I will give authority over the nations; 27And he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as when the vessels of a potter are broken to pieces: just as I received authority from my Father. 28And I will give him the morning star. 29He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
